Despite appearances of success, in 1991, Jonathan realized that achievements can be totally meaningless; that life can be empty of satisfaction. He searched for a reason to go on, to believe that life was even worth living. Jonathan discovered God just at the lowest moment in his life. When he felt and realized the presence of God, he surrendered his will and his life completely and totally to, in his words, an awesome Power beyond comprehension or understanding. "It transformed my life, body, mind and spirit forever ", says Jonathan to congregations in churches where he is invited to exhibit from time to time. After that moment of acceptance and redemption, Jonathan received visions that he rendered as drawings and paintings, many of which you see on our website. "I take credit for holding the charcoal," Jonathan declares, "the visions, the imagery, come spontaneously into my consciousness. They were never a product of my own thinking. I spent years thinking up clever things to draw; believe me, I know the difference. These came from God."
"Visions From Faith" (formerly “Art By Jonathan”) is a new company name for us. As stewards of this artwork, we have come to understand that we have a ministry under God to make this artwork available to anyone and everyone who recognizes it and feels drawn to it. Over the past nine years now, we have seen the power of the Holy Spirit work through these images, reaching people from all races, religions, cultures and backgrounds. It has brought about some of the most powerful moments in people's lives that I have ever seen.
God owns this company and the artwork; we just hold the rights and responsibility to be good stewards. Our mission commitment deepens every day as we hear from pastors, church leaders, conference people, Christians and people of all denominations from across the nation and even overseas. They tell us their experiences of how God has moved through the artwork to touch, inspire and deepen their connection to Him. We are awed by their testimonies and grateful to be a part of God's plan. We thank you for your interest in and support of our art ministry. May God richly bless each one of you.
